photo session guide
What should I wear?
Unless you are doing a themed session, please avoid attire that is all black, all white, has neon colors, busy patterns, or large logos.
Try to coordinate your outfits instead of matching. Ensure that everyone has the same base color, then build out from there. Take your base color and add a neutral tone with a small pop of the accent color.
If layering outfits, aim to mix the textures instead of mixing patterns. This will elevate your photos without making them look distracting with multiple patterns.
What color palette do you recommend?
The color palette you choose will depend on the season or event that you are being photographed for. Please refer to the attached color palettes to assist with choosing your outfits.
If you are scheduled for a themed shoot, patterns or matching outfits may be alright. If you’re doing an all-black photoshoot on a white or grey backdrop, the color palette of all black is fine. If you’re doing a Christmas photoshoot and everyone has matching flannel pajamas, this is also okay.
